Eng. Robert-Ionut Vatasoiu received his B.Sc in Telecommunication Networks and Software from Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunication and Information Technology in 2022. He received a M.Sc from the same faculty, Intelligent Systems and Artificial Vision domain in 2024. Currently he is progressing to his Ph.D. degree, which focuses on predicting and detecting risk events from satellite data.
Since 2022, he has taught the Theory of Information Transmission laboratory to third-year students from the same faculty.
Since 2021, he has been actively engaged in research, primarily concentrating on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a focus on satellite time series forecasting and EO AI applications, participating in numerous national and international research projects. Furthermore, he has contributed as an author or co-author to 9 scientific papers.
